Digest Pro® 2-in-1 Test Kit offers a comprehensive protein quality assessment by determining the in vivo digestibility score (DS) and the Protein Digestibility Corrected Amino Acid Score (PDCAAS) alongside crude protein content measurement. Utilising a two-stage digestion process simulating gastric and intestinal conditions over a 5-hour period, it provides results that closely correlate with in vivo digestion outcomes. Detection of amino acids is achieved through a reaction with ninhydrin reagent, forming Ruhemann's purple for UV-VIS spectrometric analysis at 570 nm. Each Digest Pro® Kit contains reagents for 50 assays, making it a cost-effective choice for evaluating the digestibility and protein quality of food and feed samples, including novel and alternative protein sources. For those requiring a full PDCAAS determination, an amino acid profile analysis is available upon request for an additional fee.
